Hi, I'm Sara. I don't want to be the star of your audiobook. I want to make YOUR VOICE shine through. Versatile with language and dialects, I have the ability to translate many years of professional acting onstage to audiobook narration. While studying for my Master of Fine Arts degree at The University of Louisville, I passed the audition for and became a professional narrator at the studios of The Library of Congress. Over the next three years I recorded over forty titles there. I now produce audiobooks from my professional home studio.
As a kid I tried to hide my Southern roots which stretch deep into Appalachia. Growing up in Louisville, KY, I refused to adhere to the local pronunciation "Lou a vul" that was proudly displayed on bumper stickers. Now I love narrating in my southern dialect(s). My parents gave me lessons in the arts, but discouraged me from majoring in Theatre. I earned a BS in Biology, became a dental hygienist, then I earned a Masters Degree and became a faculty member at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. The day I was awarded tenure and an Associate Professorship, I resigned to pursue my artistic passions. I've held over 75 paying jobs in my actor's lifetime. I started counting when a friend shared with me that her dad was aiming for 100. Also a visual artist, I paint what I can and hope it inspires me. I'm a life-long swimmer and lover of physical fitness.
